She was appointed in December 2021 to finish out the term of former Delegate Kathleen Dumais, who was appointed to the Circuit Court bench. In 2022, she was elected to a full 4-year term. She was elected Montgomery County Delegation Caucus Chair in 2023 and joined the Executive Board of the Women Legislators of Maryland, the oldest legislative women’s caucus in the United States. In 2024, she was elected treasurer. Linda also is a member of the General Assembly’s Latino Caucus

He is a member of the Environment and Transportation Committee and is the Chair of the Motor Vehicle and Transportation Subcommittee. He also serves as the Chair of the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus. David has been a resident of Montgomery County since he was 5 years old. A product of Montgomery County public schools, David attended Albert Einstein High School, Montgomery College, and St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he earned a degree in history.

I landed in the middle of cornfields in Indiana (a big change from Shanghai) where I had to use a Walkman to record lectures and work several jobs between classes to complete my studies. With my young family, I completed two master’s degrees, moved across four states and built a career in student affairs in higher education. I eventually settled in the Washington region where I established myself as an economic development official in DC and Montgomery County and became a community leader.
