About this candidate

From woodwardfordelegate.com:Crystal Woodward resides on Kent Island and is an Eastern Shore native. Crystal is the proud daughter of a small business owner who taught her that hard work and doing the right thing was always the right thing to do. While throwing her hat into running for office was not originally in her 2026 plan, she decided that the time is now to offer an alternative to long-term incumbents whose representation of D-36 is limited by their minority party status. Crystal is eager to provide an Eastern Shore voice that will finally be heard by the Maryland House of Delegates. She is a compassionate and experienced advocate who has worked for the American Diabetes Association for three decades where she is currently the Vice President of Legal Advocacy. Crystal sees the impact of her work every day upon people wth diabetes. Crystal is a regular person with a middle working class background and lifestyle who works hard to pay the bills and values, and enjoys spending time with her family as she tirelessly advocates for marginalized populations. Crystal looks forward to serving D-36 constituents by enhancing the ability of the D-36 Delegation to meet its needs through strong credibility with the majority of the House and building collaborations with stakeholders who are vested in the Shore's best interest.
