For the past 23 years, Tom has been an active citizen throughout the Eastern Shore. He is a business leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for his community. ​ Immediately upon his arrival in the area, Tom immersed himself in a variety of organizations focused on economic growth and prosperity. Most notable was Tom’s eight-year tenure as a member of the Board of Directors and subsequently as President of Cambridge Main Street. During his terms, the downtown district of Cambridge, Maryland underwent a significant transformation and has become a major tourist destination. Whether it is at a downtown street festival, leading a volunteer team to help beautify downtown, standing on a ladder to help hang Christmas wreaths and banners, or climbing a pile of bushel baskets to help build the iconic Cambridge Crab Basket Christmas Tree, Tom is always present and more than willing to “roll-up his sleeves” to get the job done.
